John Montét

I am a Web developer, instructor, and lecturer. I have developed Web sites for large companies (such as Anheuser-Busch, CenturyTel, and 3M), and for small private business and non-profit organizations. I proudly spent six years at Iowa Public Television, serving as Webmaster.

All this experience has taught me (nearly) every aspect of Web development, from hardcore coding and graphic design to project management. I enjoy bringing this experience to the classroom.

This site was hacked last weekend. It wasn't a big deal. There isn't much to do or steal on this site. It was, however, a big pain in tuckus. I know exactly who it was and will give them a swift boot to the head remarkably stern talking to - if I can ever manage to make it to Turkey.

Well... I'm on Twitter now. I've put this account in place for two reasons. First, I wanted to fully explore the issues with Twitter and small business (for an upcoming lecture). Second, I wanted to provide a place where people can get my Twitter feed regarding some of the tech issues I run across. The inherent brevity in Twitter should make this an interesting task.

Visit my Twitter feed below to join in.

As you can see by the ads on the right, I've implemented Google AdSense. I've really done it as an experiment as to how exactly the whole thing works. So far, I've kind of enjoyed it. We'll see if I use this other places within the site. Certainly I won't be putting it in the WTC pages. I think that would be just plain wrong.
